Classic Curry Rice
When you'r in a hurry
We all know this recipe in one way or the other. Here we like to present to you a slightly spicy version with Lioko Mexikaner.
Step 1
Bring the rice with double the amount of water and a pinch of salt to a boil in a saucepan. Then turn down the heat.
Step 2
Meanwhile, dice the onions and peppers and thickly slice the carrots
Step 3
In a pan, sauté the onion until translucent, then add the spices. After 1 minute, stir in tomato paste and peanut butter. Sauté for another 2 minutes.
Step 4
Deglaze everything with Lioko Mexikaner and a small dash of water. In total there should be about 100ml of liquid. 4 Shots Lioko Mexikaner are rather mild in heat, 6 are a little stronger.
Step 5
Then add all the remaining ingredients and let everything cook with the lid on for 7-10 minutes. Stir from time to time and finally season the curry rice with salt.

- 1/2 cup basmati rice
- 4-6 Shots of Lioko Mexikaner
- 1 onions
- 1/2 sweet pepper
- 150 g carrots
- 200 g peas
- 1 tbs tomato paste
- 1/2 tbs peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp sweet pepper powder
- 1 tbs curry powder
- 1/2 tsp gram masala
- 100 ml water
