Like fruity-fresh tomatoes, a savory blend of spices and barely like alcohol. A true Mundfeuerwerk! And connoisseurs especially appreciate the freshly ground black pepper.

We want to produce a ethically good product. Therefore we don't add any artificial additives. You can observe this when denser ingredients sink to the bottom after a while: it is a good sign!

Lioko Mexikaner is absolutely vegan! It contains no ingredients of animal origin, and we don’t use any animal-derived materials in the production process either.

This also means that there is no honey in Lioko Mexikaner (bees).

And no carmine, either. Carmine is a colouring agent used by many liquor manufacturers to give their drinks a rich red colour. No joke: carmine is produced my pregnant scale insects, but without us! Our red comes from ripe vegetables.

Lioko Mexikaner is free of allergens! Thus, it doesn't contain gluten, milk, soy or peanut.

Older bottles of Lioko Mexikaner CLASSIC with a black coloured cap might contain traces of allergens. For our new bottles with the red cap we refrained from all allergens (also all traces of em)!

Lioko Mexikaner CLASSIC with the red cap and Lioko Mexikaner DERBE SCHARF contain no allergens, including no traces, as defined by Annex II of EU Regulation No. 1169/2011. Thats e. g. milk, egg, soy, fish, peanut, hazelnut, sesame, mustard, celery, seefood or gluten.

It's secret!

Lioko Mexikaner CLASSIC has a meticulously calibrated level of spicyness. If you are less used to eating spicy foods and wouldn’t consider yourself a chilli-aficionado, you’ll still be able to enjoy a Lioko Mexikaner without dropping dead on the spot.

The more experienced among you might want to try our Lioko Mexikaner DERBE SCHARF. We call it "compressed chili power" and it definitely is! Surely, there are much hotter capsaicin sauces on this planet. But we don't want to compete with them, since we are not in the business of hurting people. Despite the chili-fire, you’ll still taste the savory flavors.

A bottle of Lioko Mexikaner contains 700 ml (0.7 L / 23.67 US fl oz), which makes about 35 tasty 2cl-shots.

A sealed bottle is good for at least six months, if stored in a cool, dark place. An opened bottle, in case you haven’t finished every last drop, should be stored in the fridge and is good for at least 2 weeks.

FYI: Lioko Mexikaner has no best before date, as this information isn’t required for alcoholic beverages containing more than 10% vol. Microorganisms that could be harmful to your health can’t grow at this alcohol level.

We still recommend not storing Lioko Mexikaner for too long. The natural aromas that give it its flavour are sensitive to light and heat and will gradually break down over time. As a result, the drink can lose some of its fruity-fresh taste. How quickly this happens depends heavily on the storage conditions, especially light and heat.

Chilled! We suggest you keep Lioko Mexikaner in the fridge and serve it as a 2 cl. (2/3 oz) shot. And don't forget to shake!
